Tony Nguyen served in the US Army in the HIMARS crew while in college and deployed to Sinai Peninsula in 2012 for Operation Enduring Freedom as part of MFO-57 which was an eye opening experience as I worked with 13 other nations to preserve the 1979 Camp David Accords.

He has Bachelor in Biology and Chem minor (typical parents wanted me to become a doctor or physician) but after graduating, I switch to my passion and degree to BS Architectural Engineering and MS Engineering with a focus in Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) with thesis in Artificial Intelligence for VAVs- Cum Laude in Both Degrees.   Tony Nguyen begun his career in 2008 with works at Hoffman Building Technologies in Greensboro and Charlotte, NC developing BAS controls for elementary and high schools, fire smoke detection HVAC systems, data centers, and industrial complexes.   From there, I switched to other firms using legacy Tridium AX system and doing conversions to Niagara N4 systems.  In 2018, he became the trainer to Trane Technologies to train technicians to use Tridium N4 to integrate with Trane field controllers.  

In 2020, he relocated to South Florida to be with his wife and worked with a controls company to expand Tridium Niagara where Siemens, Trane, and JCI were the predominant controls vendors.   In the past several years, we migrated hospital’s  BAS where they were previously sole sourced to open protocol where customers had lowered Building Automation System (BAS) or Direct Digital Controls (DDC) for projects and service.  Major South Florida works were with Baptist Health South Florida- Main, West Kendall, Doctor’s Hospital, and Boca Raton Regional and Veteran Affairs- West Palm Beach and Miami. 

2022 was a major change as I transition to Department of Veteran Affairs- West Palm Beach.  At the time, Siemens was doing a backup local server- inversive to how to the industry was moving with Cloud Services.  (I had previous works BAS Cloud services as it proves a reliable system because the Dept of Social Services in Charlotte, NC had previously came under hijacking.) Cloud services produces several redundant system and is less prone or very resistant if not proof against hijacking BAS infrastructure.  In addition, I developed an internal controls team until the BAS vendors comes in for advance diagnosis.  This upkeeps the run-time and operation of hospitals. Siemens had also locked the facility into Non-Missional controllers where I was Subject Matter Expert to methodically transition the center to a Missional Critical (Hospitals and Datacenter.

Over all I spent a great portion of my career in the field and hence ‘Field Tried and Tested’ as an engineer to build creative solutions with Design firms. From integrating Bacnet controllers, installing controllers, developing building network architecture, the experiences are very diversified.
